The Ha Van 'A' Rooftop Lounge Since the beginning of our adventure at the Ha Van Hotel, we always had the dream to open a spot where our guests and travellers could meet and share experiences of their trips around Vietnam. One year after setting up the Ha Van Hotel in becoming one of the favorite budget hotel in Nha Trang, our long search for the ideal location became to an end...the best spot was right here, under our eyes on the 5th floor of the hotel. 
Many walls have been sacrificed Each of the places that we were looking on the street level had the same flaws...noise, pollution, repeated hustling from street vendors and prohibitive cost of renting spaces in Nha Trang. To set-up our join was not easy; we had to move the laundry room, the solar water tanks, break some walls and finally sound proofing our facilities to ensure that our lounge would not impact the comfort of the hotel guests. The result? Stunning! 
The Ha Van Hotel is not the tallest building in Nha Trang but because of its strategic location (one block from the beach and a few meters away from one major touristic street) the views we have from the top floor is simply stunning. At the back, where the restaurant section of lounge is located, we have an incredible view on the old Nha Trang Airport (now only used by the Vietnamese Air Force as a training facility) and the mountains surrounding the city. The restaurant part is an ideal starting point of the day, the breakfast are served there; at night it becomes a dinning area that can't be match in Nha Trang. At the front, the lounge/bar/internet/entertainment section, the superb views are on the sea and the touristic area of Nha Trang...at nighttime the skyline is just "wow". Since the views is not everything, the Ha Van 'A' Rooftop lounge as been design to accommodate our guests with style: rattan lounge sofas, low profile rattan and wood tables, wood floors and exotic plant! Moreover, internet stations are available to all (not to speak of our strong Wi-Fi connection. As and added bonus, two large TV screens are on duties to present any sport events that you would want to see. The larger of the 2 TV is a 50 inch HD plasma screen that is connected to internet (via HDMI) so we can present any web streaming available on internet. Even Ice Hockey! Well, judging by reading our guests comment on different travel websites, we can assumed that we have made a really good job of entertaining our guests! That said, the popularity of the Ha Van Hotel help also at bringing a sizeable number of guests on the rooftop making meeting between friends and travellers easy. Add a no-frill services and a team of staff sensible to western realities make the Ha Van 'A' Lounge an unique bar in Nha Trang. Speaking of western realities, the music here is always appropriate to the mood of the moment! We play the best music from the greatest hits (Indie rock, R & B, pop...) to the smoothest jazz and lounge music. Benny, one of the barmen is an accomplished meloman! You have a special demand; let us know...we probably have it in store! Sometime we call the rooftop "notre salon" (in good English; our living room) which is a tribute to the relax atmosphere that's going on here. What's more? Since our opening in November, the rooftop as seen is share of returning patrons go up; many of them, expats living in Nha Trang...they really discover the best kept secret in town...nowadays a not so secret anymore!
About beers and drinks?
At the Ha Van 'A' Lounge, beers and drinks are served cold; very cold...Cocktails and drinks (coffee, tea, smoothies...) made with ice made with mineral water. Moreover, unlike many joints out here, we only use quality alcohol to do our cocktails. Only the real good stuffs. Beside would you give poison to your own patrons; many of which are staying at the hotel! A list of drinks is available here. Special(s) every night on selected cocktails, beers or shooters!
And the food? Although our menu is not the biggest in town, we served some of the most popular dishes that you would like. From American burger, Argentinean Steak, Club sandwich to Stirred fried chicken and fried squids...Before going into the hotel business we were expert in the food business back in Canada...we do not make "crap" here! Only the best ingredients cooked in an open air kitchen (we have nothing to hide) with professionally trained Vietnamese chefs (and, really, they are very good).

At first we didn't believe it, but they actually do play any song upon request! They also have great specials, like free drinks on people's first night and daiquiries for ladies nights, as well as great discounts on cocktails. It was a hub of activity, and the laid back vibe allowed us to meet dozens of travellers who we enjoyed tours and nights out with.
